Yakuza Fiance is the yakuza romance that anime always deserved. By that I mean that it is a great romance that highlights all the reasons you wouldn’t really want to get romantically involved with a yakuza – because they would probably be dangerous, unfaithful, and/or unhinged.

What to Expect From The Yakuza Fiance Manga?
The biggest things you miss out on in the Yakuza Fiance manga that didn’t make it into the anime were the omake chapters which, interestingly enough, are usually the normal, wholesome parts of the relationships in the series. As they are not toxic or plot-related, it is easy to see why they were not included.
Outside of that, the Yakuza Fiance anime is a pretty great adaptation of the manga. Many scenes in the anime are actually shot-for-shot from the manga series. You don’t need to read the Yakuza Fiance manga from the beginning unless you want to. Though the omake chapters are actually pretty cute and may be worth hunting down.

The Yakuza Fiance manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2017, it releases one to two volumes per year.
Will There Be A Yakuza Fiance Season 2?
There has been no official announcement of a Yakuza Fiance Season 2 anime.
The bar preventing a second season right now is content. They adapted Volume 6 of a series with only 8 volumes, and one that releases pretty slowly. So this one will need awhile to get another season.
