Where To Start The Yakitate Japan Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Yakitate Japan anime and wish to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 15, Chapter 127.
What to Expect From The Yakitate Japan Manga?
The Yakitate Japan anime does actually adapt the final arc of the manga, but it changes and skips so much that you, if you start reading anywhere, should start reading where the arc begins. The anime did a fully anime-original conclusion to that arc as well, so the manga’s ending will be different.
Do note that the anime’s biggest change to the final arc was changing it from the Yakitate 25 to the Yakitate 9, so you are going to be reading about a lot of extra rounds.
The Yakitate Japan anime prior to Episode 53 where the Yakitate 9 started was a pretty good adaptation of the manga, only skipping and changing a few small bits. So you don’t need to read it from the very beginning unless you want to.
Is The Yakitate Japan Manga Over?
The Yakitate Japan manga is complete. It ended in 2007 with Volume 26, Chapter 242.
There is also the sequel manga, Yakitate Japan Super Real, which is also complete. It ended in 2021 with Volume 5, Chapter 31
Will There Be A Yakitate Japan Season 2?
As the anime aired in 2006, it is safe to say there won’t be a Yakitate Japan Season 2 anime.
