Where To Start The Witch Watch Manga After The Anime?

If you finished the Witch Watch anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 9, Chapter 72.

Due to the series re-arranging and sometimes jumping around chapters, this is the best place to start, though not the exact place to start. The final episode adapted chapters 51 through 53, while Episode 22 adapted 71. You will have missed skipped chapters before this (even if you start at Chapter 54) and you will see a spare few chapters that were adapted after this all the way into the 90’s. Chapter 71 is the furthest it adapted without skipping large chunks.

What to Expect From The Witch Watch Manga?

Due to the nature of the story, where is sometimes has a plot and does progress character relationships—but is often still just jokes and slice of life, the Witch Watch anime skips around the manga quite a bit. This is because sometimes the story sets up jokes, then makes callbacks to them at a later time.

As such, the anime not only re-arranges chapters, but skips them and cuts chapters short as well.

Do you need to read the Witch Watch manga from the beginning because of this? No. You have all the core progression. Should you if you liked the series? Yes, probably, because some of the jokes they skipped are hilarious.
