Watamote taught us all what real “cringe comedy” was. It was a series that can be so relatable in its depiction of cringe-worthy otaku things that it hurts.
For some, that part of Watamote hit just right, but for others, it is an unbearable little gem.

Where To Start The Watamote Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Watamote anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Chapter 35.
The anime adapts seven chapters of the nine total chapters in Volume 4.
The anime skipped Chapter 30 and Chapter 33.
The OVA is all anime-original.
What to Expect From The Watamote Manga?
Watamote was actually a very diligent adaptation of the manga until right up near the end when it started skipping chapters because it clearly had a chapter in mind that it wanted to end at.
Outside of the skipped chapters listed above, most of what Watamote left out was the omake chapters at the end of each volume, which are comical, but not really worth reading the series from the beginning for.
Is The Watamote Manga Over?
The Watamote manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2012, it releases about two volumes per year.
Will There Be A Watamote Season 2?
As the anime came out in 2013, it is safe to say that too many people cringed and not enough people laughed to earn the profits that would see a Watamote Season 2 come into being.
