Before Twilight was titillating teens with vampire melodrama, Vampire Knight was doing exactly the same thing – but in its quiet corner of shoujo anime/manga.
Heavy-handed with its drama, Vampire Knight is a series you either wildly love for that drama or move on from immediately. However, it is a series that had left a long-remembered mark on the vampire romance genre.

Where To Start The Vampire Knight Manga After The Anime?
If you finished both seasons of the Vampire Knight anime and wish to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Chapter 47.
The anime adapts all but the final chapter in Volume 10.
What to Expect From The Vampire Knight Manga?
Vampire Knight is an “okay, but not great” adaptation of the manga. If you were to read the manga from the beginning, you would definitely notice a lot of small changes that the anime made as well as more than a few cut scenes and moments.
However, nothing cut really alters the core story that is unfolding in any significant way. While I recommend reading the manga from the beginning because there are quite a few things changed and omitted that you notice it while reading, reading from the beginning is not strictly necessary if you just want to see where this romance ends.
Is The Vampire Knight Manga Over?
The Vampire Knight manga is complete. It ended in 2013 with Chapter 102.
While the original Vampire Knight manga is completed, the special chapters released afterward ended up spawning the Vampire Knight: Memories sequel manga that continues the story even further. Vampire Knight: Memories is a still ongoing manga. Since launching in 2016, it usually releases one volume per year.
Will There Be A Vampire Knight Season 3?
As both the Vampire Knight anime and manga are long completed, more seasons of the anime are very unlikely. At this point, it is more likely that it would be remade.
