While isekai isn’t exactly the most challenging type of story to write, to Tsukimichi’s credit, writing an isekai that is both a comedy and actually a good isekai adventure in and of itself is challenging. Tsukimichi is one of few that manage to pull it off, even if everyone says is a pretty slap-dash adaptation of its source material.
Where To Start The Tsukimichi Light Novel After The Anime?
If you have finished the Tsukimichi anime and wish to pick up the light novel, you can start at Novel 4. However, presently the only thing you will find translated is the web novel, which you can pick up at Chapter 77. The web novel and light novel are different, since web novels are often “rough drafts” of the professionally edited light novels, but the overall story is essentially the same.
Is The Tsukimichi Light Novel Over?
The Tsukimichi light novel and web novel are both still ongoing. Since it launched in 2013, the light novel release pace has slowed down to one or two novels per year. While long running, there is still no indication of a final arc beginning.
Where To Start The Tsukimichi Manga After The Anime?
Tsukimichi also has a manga. You can pick up the Tsukimichi manga after the anime at Chapter 60.
The anime adapts three of the seven total chapters of Volume 9.
Is The Tsukimichi Manga Over?
The Tsukimichi manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2016, it has released about two volumes per year.
What to Expect From The Tsukimichi Source Material Compared to The Anime?
Now, it is important to note that fans of the source material consider the anime a pretty bad adaptation because of the speed of which the anime moves. It skips many things and essentially summarizes all the events it shows.
This is one of those series where it is highly recommended that you just read from the beginning. If you choose not to read from the beginning, be aware that you will see characters that have already been introduced in the source material, but were left out of the anime. You also miss out on a few side stories. (Though they may be added into in the upcoming season 2)
Will There Be A Tsukimichi Season 2?
It was confirmed that Tsukimichi will be receiving a Season 2. It has been slated to air January 8th, 2024.
