Clamp manga can, on occasion, the the most frustrating fandom this side of the Nasuverse due to all the many crossovers that its characters have. In no series is that more frustratingly apparent than Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.
Unfortunately, its isn’t Clamp and its crossovers that truly make getting into the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles as daunting as it is, but it is also the “wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey” aspect of the plot that makes this series difficult.

Where To Start The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles Manga After The Anime?
If you watched everything in the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles anime, including both seasons of the TV anime as well as the Tokyo Revelations and Spring Thunder Chronicles OVAs, then you can technically start the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles manga at Chapter 183. But I strongly do not recommend it.
The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles Tokyo Revleations and Spring Thunder Chronicles OVAs make the anime story confusing if you have not read the manga, and I don’t recommend watching them. I recommend starting the manga at Chapter 107 where Season 2 ended, if not reading the series from the beginning – which would be the easiest option.
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles has a notoriously complicated plot, and even the first two seasons of anime, which were better adaptations than the highly abridged OVAs, skips details. When it comes to this incredibly confusing plot – you really need all the details you can get for it to make sense at the end.
Do You Need to Read Other Clamp Manga to Understand Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles?
When getting into the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles fandom, you will discover that there are a tremendous amount of crossovers in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles with every other major Clamp manga/anime.
However, the good news is you truly don’t need to read every Clamp series to fully understand Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles since – for everything other than smaller cameos – it explains that characters’ role in the world in the Tsubasa manga itself.
Essentially, all the crossovers are just fan service for long-time Clamp fans, and you can ignore them.
Is The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles Manga Over?
The Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles manga is complete. It ended in 2009 with Chapter 233.
Will There Be A Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles Season 3?
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles was originally meant to be a 3-season anime, but it was canceled by Clamp after the second season. They allegedly didn’t like the direction the anime was heading with the story.
That said, Cardcaptor Sakura got a bit of a reboot and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles is probably the next most popular Clamp series after that one, so a reboot could happen, but it is unlikely.
