A sensational rom-com when it came out, Toradora fever has faded away a bit these days. However, this series was one of those romantic comedies that you never quite forget because of how much it made your feel and endeared you to the characters.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping for “a little more” after that anime ending, you may be a bit disappointed.
Where To Start The Toradora Light Novel After The Anime?
While Toradora is technically a full adaptation of the source material, the final volume of the light novel was not out when the anime aired. As such, the studio got a rough idea of the events to work with and sort of made their own way from that.
Furthermore, there are a fair bit of changes from the light novel in the Toradora anime throughout. Of course, as is usual in light novel anime adaptations, what you really miss out on is the inner monologues that flesh out the character motivations so they make a little more sense.
You will definitely get a full and often slightly different version of the Toradora story reading the light novels from the beginning, but you don’t actually need to read them from the beginning. However, you will want to go read Novel 10 to get the best version of the ending.

The Toradora light novel is complete. It ended in 2009 with Novel 10.
You can also go read the light novel series, Toradora Spin-Off, which is part spin-off with new characters and part side stories. It is also complete with three novels.
Where To Start The Toradora Manga After The Anime?
The Toradora manga, surprisingly, is actually still ongoing. It is presently, as of Chapter 97, covering when Taiga and Ryuuji run away, so it still has a bit of story to cover.
The good news if you are more of a manga fan is that the manga does cover some of the things that the anime cut out – but not everything. So for the most complete version of the story, it is still recommended to read the light novels.
