Never did I ever think I would be so endeared to a series I was so sure was going to be toilet humor. It wasn’t, though. It was actually a fun supernatural mystery with an art style, at least in the anime, that mesmerized.

Where To Start The Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun anime and wish to start the manga, the last canon thing in the anime happens at Chapter 35, but I recommend starting at Chapter 9, if nothing else.
If you also watched the spin-off anime based off the spin-off manga, After-school Hanako-kun, that anime left off at Chapter 13 of the After-school Hanako-kun manga.
What to Expect From The Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Manga?
The Toilet-bound Hanako-kun anime, while enjoyable on its own, is actually a very poor adaptation of the manga. It is strongly recommended just to read the Toilet-bound Hanako-kun manga from the beginning. The anime changes and omits many events to the point where it is close to becoming a different story.
As for the After-school Hanako-kun series, true to form, it skipped several chapters in its adaptation. However, as it is a slice of life-type series, that is less damning. Still, it skipped enough chapters that it also may be worth reading it from the beginning.
Is The Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Manga Over?
The Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2019, it usually releases two volumes per year.
The After-school Hanako-kun manga is still ongoing, but, despite launching in 2018, only has two volumes out.
Will There Be A Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2?
While originally thought to be a reboot since the first season handled things so poorly, a second season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun was announced. It is currently set to air in January 2025.
They also announced a second season to After School Hanako-kun, airing in October 2024.
