Nothing can show you how gross history is than historical media that doesn’t shy away from things like shunning your useless child or purchasing a spouse for them.

The Taisho Maiden Fairy Tale anime is actually a complete adaptation of the Taisho Maiden Fairy Tale manga. It is also the end for Tamahiko and Yuzuki as main characters.
However, you can continue to see their relationship form a side character perspective in Showa Maiden Fairy Tale, the spin-off/also sort of sequel manga series.
Showa Maiden Fairy Tale follows Tamahiko’s cousin(?) who was taken in and neglected by Tamahiko’s half-sister, Tamayo. He then runs away with a girl who is also from an abusive family. Showa Maiden Fairy Tale is following their love story, and you do get to see Tamahiko and Yuzuki at moments in it.

Taisho Maiden Fairy Tale ended in 2017 with Chapter 42 and Showa Maiden Fairy Tale ended in 2020 with Chapter 48.
Will There Be A Taisho Otome Fairy Tale Season 2?
While I can appreciate that this series tells a compact story, compact stories – and historical ones to boot – aren’t big money-makers. As Showa Maiden Fairy Tale is even more depressing in circumstances, I don’t foresee it getting an anime adaptation.
