While it started with an interesting twist on the over-saturated isekai formula, I can’t say that Spirit Chronicles did much else that was out of the ordinary. However, it did have most everything that makes a successful isekai anime from an OP protagonist to a harem of cute waifus.
Where To Start The Spirit Chronicles Light Novel After The Anime?

The anime skips Novel 4 to adapts the events of Novel 5 in Episodes 10 through 12 of the first season.

Spirit Chronicles also has a manga. As the Spirit Chronicles skips adapting the events of Novel 4 to adapt part of Novel 5 in the final three episodes, the start point for the manga would be Chapter 32, which is the end of Episode 9.
As of the latest chapter I could find, Chapter 51, the manga is indeed adapting the events that the first season of anime ended with.

Like any anime that is adapting a light novel, is that it skipped a whole novel’s worth of content that may or may not make it into season 2.
While there is some merit to reading the light novel from the beginning, the anime didn’t skip anything too plot important in what it did adapt to merit it.
While you can read the skipped fourth novel’s content in the manga, the manga is also cuts a bit of light novel details out as well. So it may not be the best option if you want a more in-depth version of the story.

A Spirit Chronicles Season 2 anime was announced and has been stated to be airing in 2024, but no further details as to when it will air have been released.
