I always think that music manga is kind of a strange read without sound, but music light novels, as it turns out, go down a little smoother. However, Sound! Euphonium isn’t really about building a dope soundtrack by having a music-based plot, is it? It is like sports anime where the music is just a framing device for the characters. The characters are the real stars.

Where To Start The Sound! Euphonium Light Novel After The Anime?
After Sound Euphonium Season 3, the series is now a full adaptation of the main light novels.
Is The Sound! Euphonium Light Novel Over?
The Sound! Euphonium light novel is complete. It ended in 2019 with Novel 10.
Where To Start The Sound! Euphonium Manga After The Anime?
Sound! Euphonium has a manga series, but it is well behind the anime. Furthermore, the manga series all adapt a single light novel, and then end.
Current Sound! Euphonium manga series include:
- Sound! Euphonium – Welcome to Kitauji High School’s Wind Ensemble Club – Completed in 2015 with Volume 3, Chapter 19
- Sound! Euphonium 2: The Hottest Summer of Kitauji High School Concert Band – Completed in 2016 with Volume 2, Chapter 16
- Sound! Euphonium 3: The Greatest Crisis of Kitauji High School Concert Band – Completed in 2017 With Volume 2, Chapter ?? (I couldn’t find it)
As no manga series have been released since 2017, it seems like they won’t be making more.
What to Expect From The Sound! Euphonium Source Material Compared to The Anime?
It is worth noting that KyoAni likes making beautiful anime with touching stories, but it doesn’t really love sticking to the source material in a diligent way. That actually isn’t a bad thing in any of the stories they adapted to anime, though. They tend to “add more” rather than reduce content.
The Sound! Euphonium anime keeps a good bit of the plot from the novels, but the anime does put a lot more focus on side characters. They get fleshed out really well, but the novels may have less focus on some characters than you may want.
There are a few changes to the Sound Euphonium story throughout, even the overall ending to the story has a small change made to it. However, nothing that was changed really alters the overall story, and it does make reading the light novels from the beginning a little bit more interesting in how different some parts are.
Will There Be A Sound! Euphonium Season 4?
The third season of Sound Euphonium fulled adapted the main storyline light novels. There will be no more main line anime
shouldn’t it be mentioned anywhere they changed the ending?
