Where Does The Solo Leveling Anime End In The Manhwa?

As part of the “read it before it was cool” brigade, I , too, as so excited for the Solo Leveling anime – and it did not disappoint me in the slightest.

It kept the fluid, visually appealing action intact with great animation and also kept the gore, something I was worried that they may have toned down for whatever contrived reason. Regardless, it’s a great series, at least until the power creep.

Where To Start The Solo Leveling Manhwa After The Anime?

If you finished the Solo Leveling anime and wish to continue the story in the manhwa, you can start at:

• If you finished Solo Leveling Season 1 – You can start the manhwa at Chapter 46 (Chapter 9 for Official English Release)
• If you finished Solo Leveling Season 2 – To be added after the final episode

If you were to buy the official English release of Solo Leveling, please note that they combined a lot of manhwa chapters together, so the numbering is highly condensed. I included it in parentheses to limit any potential confusion, though unofficial sources usually use the original numbering of the Korean manhwa release unless they are just rips of the official release and not fan translated.

What to Expect From The Solo Leveling Manhwa?

Aside from a few small changes, Solo Leveling was extremely diligent to the source material. You don’t need to read the manhwa from the beginning unless you want to.

Although, the full color art of the manhwa alone is worth considering a fresh read-through.

Is The Solo Leveling Manhwa Over?

The Solo Leveling manhwa is complete. It ended in 2023 with Chapter 201.

However, the manga now lives on in Solo Leveling Ragnarok, a sequel series following a new main character with a new artist as the artist from the original Solo Leveling manhwa passed away. Solo Leveling Ragnarok is starting publication on August 1st, 2024.

The original Solo Leveling manhwa fully adapts to the end of the original Solo Leveling web/light novel, but it does leave out/tone down some of the more controversial parts of the web novel.

Where to Start The Solo Leveling Light Novel After The Anime?

While the manhwa is the more popular form, likely due to the stunning art, Solo Leveling did in fact start as a web novel.

Will There Be A Solo Leveling Season 2?

A Solo Leveling Season 2 has been announced following the end of the first season. It is slated to air in January 2025.
