The Sakamoto Days anime does re-arrange some things in the anime and also has skipped content, including full chapters at times. As Sakamoto Days is a split-cour series, with Part 2 airing in July 2025, they might add some of this content in during Part 2.

What was cut from the Sakamoto Days anime was a lot of family life/slice of life comedy moments, but ultimately, they cut these moments because they did not feed into the overall plot. This is why you might see them in Part 2 as “breather” episodes after more serious moments as they can technically happen at any point in the timeline since they have little to do with the actual plot.

Regardless, as they did skip a some full chapters and cut out a few small jokes, it does add some merit to reading the Sakamoto Days manga from the beginning, but there is absolutely nothing that was cut that would prevent you from just jumping into the manga after the anime.
