It was nice to have a shut-in anime following a woman. Even better that it turned into a romance and it took the time to show her have to glow back up to go outside and meet people. However, for as cute as Recovery of an MMO Junkie is, you won’t be finding the happy ending you want.
As it is, the Recovery of an MMO Junkie is a complete adaptation of the manga. This means that Chapter 87 is the last chapter and the last episode of the anime. So what happened?
The manga was put on hiatus due to the author’s health. While she eventually recovered, she chose to no longer continue working on it, thus is it conclusively canceled now.
While the manga ended in a vague way, it was actually the perfect vague place to end the anime for a series that will never continue. Unfortunately, the anime was also a pretty good adaptation of the source material, so there isn’t even much value in re-reading the series.
