This is the future of isekai. When there is no more “unique hooks” to place on a human character, the hook becomes them getting isekai’d as objects. That said, I can appreciate the hell out of the above average amount of effort the author put into making Reborn As a Vending Machine work as a premise. Outside of that, it was a perfectly average, actually pretty enjoyable light-hearted isekai.

Continuing the Reborn as a Vending Machine story after the anime is more difficult than usual.
Like all light novel anime, Reborn as a Vending Machine started as a web novel. The light novel got three volumes, but then was canceled due to lack of sales in 2017.
The anime actually adapts all three light novels, but you can still continue the Reborn as a Vending Machine story after the first season of the anime at Web Novel Chapter 73.
Is The Reborn as a Vending Machine Light Novel Over?
The Reborn as a Vending Machine light novel is complete. It was canceled in 2017 with Novel 3.
The Reborn as a Vending Machine web novel is also complete. it ended in 2016 with Chapter 277. (This includes Gaiden chapters.)
Where To Start The Reborn as a Vending Machine Manga After The Anime?
As the light novel was canceled and they have not announced any plans to renew it, I guess the manga will be the official source material for Reborn as a Vending Machine going forward.
However, while Reborn as a Vending Machine has a manga, it is actually pretty new. As of Chapter 15, the most recent chapter I could find, it is at Episode 5 of the anime – dealing with the Chain Restaurant trying to come to town.

Despite the sorry state of its source material, Reborn as a Vending Machine was confirmed for a second season after season 1 aired. It has since been announced that Reborn as a Vending Machine Season 2 will air in July 2025.
