Anime doesn’t do it often, but when it commits itself to serious drama, particularly serious historical drama, it can pull off some amazing and emotional stories, like Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, or in this case, Rainbow: The Seven from Compound Two, Cell Six.

Where To Start The Rainbow Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Rainbow: The Seven from Compound Two, Cell Six anime and wish to continue the story with the manga, you can do so at Chapter 103.
The anime adapts seven out of the eleven total chapters in Volume 10.
What to Expect From The Rainbow Manga?
The anime actually does an excellent job adapting the manga story diligently. However, in the second half of the anime, you can tell they were starting to push to get to a particular part that would serve as a satisfactory end point for the anime. As such, it starts to speed through events and seems a little choppy. This is where they start cutting (mostly unimportant) parts that would have served to pace events a little better and make the emotion a little more nuanced and less over-dramatic.
Overall, you don’t need to read the manga from the beginning since it doesn’t skip much at all. However, it is still a great read if you do want to.
Is The Rainbow Manga Over?
The Rainbow: The Seven from Compound Two, Cell Six manga is complete. It ended in 2010 with Chapter 235.
Will There Be A Rainbow Season 2?
Given the amount of time that has passed since the anime premiered and the pretty conclusive nature that the anime ended, there is minimal chance for a second season of Rainbow. Unless they have a large action or romance element, critically acclaimed manga like Rainbow rarely makes profitable anime adaptations.
