Why is it that every time a supernatural/fantasy creature gets sent to our world in anime, they always end up comical and the show ends up slice of life? Well, almost every time. Regardless, this is another one of those times, but this was a cute and cozy slice of life anime for the standard otaku, and I loved it.

What to Expect From The Otaku Elf Manga?
The anime not only skipped some small events and rearranged chapters, but it also added new anime-only content. I do recommend reading the manga from the beginning because of the stuff it skips and because there actually isn’t that much more to read. However, it is not strictly necessary.

The Otaku Elf manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2019, it usually releases two volumes per year.
Will There Be A Otaku Elf Season 2?
The big roadblock to an Otaku Elf Season 2 anime outside of popularity and profitability is the lack of content. At the rate it releases volumes, Otaku Elf will need a full year to get at least enough volumes to furnish another season of the same length. As that is such a gap, and this is a slice of life series – a genre easily loved and quickly forgotten – a second season of Otaku Elf seems unlikely.
