What to Expect From The Osamake Source Material Compared to The Anime?

While Osamake is a romantic comedy that doesn’t take itself so seriously, a small part of that does somewhat stem from the fact that the anime adapts the light novel story pretty quickly.

The anime covered the major plot points, but when it comes to some of the more serious and emotional moments outside of them, the anime sort of toned them down and rushed through them so they could cover more content.

The light novels are similarly as casual with the story, but better paced out so you have the fun moments and the actual serious moments. In short, if you simply want “more” Osamake, then there is some benefit in reading the light novels from the beginning, but if you just want to see what happens with the characters, you can still easily jump into the light novel.

Will There Be A Osamake Season 2?

There has been no official announcement of an Osamake Season 2 anime.

As it aired in 2021, there is still a little bit of hope for a Season 2, but considering the light novel completed without further word, that hope dies a little bit more each day.
