Oreimo: My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute was one of the biggest birth-givers to wincest fans, but to its credit, it played incredibly coy with it right up to the end.
Regardless, of how you feel about the relationship, it caused a huge stir when the anime was airing. And if there is anything that you can be sure of – causing “a stir” means it became quite popular with its infamy.

What to Expect From The Oreimo Source Material Compared to The Anime?
For much of the Oreimo anime, it offers you a trade-off. It doesn’t feature as much depth and detail to Kyousuke and Kirino’s relationship, but it does give you more Kuroneko than the light novels, and makes her less mean.
However, while the anime was hitting all the major plot points for awhile, it stars to really skip things in the second season as it rushes to the end.
The Oreimo anime actually skips quite a bit of light novel content because a lot of that content would not have fit with the storytelling of the anime or the anime was too changed to much already to include it. I really recommend reading the light novels from the beginning because, between the skipped story moments, the sparse character details, and the notable differences in character personalities, it can result in the light novel being quite a different experience. Furthermore, all that is left is What Ifs anyway.
