What to Expect From The Nyan Koi Manga?
Nyan Koi, when it premiered, only had about three volumes of manga to work with in pre-production, and the studio was actually very careful to not surpass the manga story. This means that the anime often inserts a lot of anime-original content and expands on a lot of story events more so than the manga.
So this is an adaptation that expands on the story rather than really skips anything. The content it adds in is usually just cute silliness that doesn’t have any serious repercussions to the story or relationships, which means it is pretty easy to just jump into the manga story.
