The Nourin: Petit manga, a more comedy-focused retelling, is also complete. It ended in 2014 with Chapter 12.
The Nourin: Yasai manga, yet another more comedy-focused retelling, is technically ongoing, but only released two volumes in 2013.

What to Expect From The Nourin Source Material Compared to The Anime?

Nourin approached adapting the light novel about as seriously as it approached much of its story. The anime skips quite a bit, but also, what it was skipping was mostly just comedy. There are minimal moments that have relevance to the overall plot of the anime, which is the progression the the relationships, but the anime did hit all of those moments.

You just missed a lot of other chaos. As you read Nourin for the romance and the chaos, it would be best to read this series from the beginning.

Will There Be A Nourin Season 2?

With the anime coming out in 2014, and all the other media suspiciously ending or not continuing in the years following, I don’t think a Nourin Season 2 is coming.
