Where Does The Natsume Yuujinchou Anime End in The Manga?

I remember a time where it felt like there was a new Natsume Yuujinchou season every year, even though they were pretty spaced out. It is a shame that this has sort of died at season six since the manga is still going, there is so much more to cover, and the series was kind of my go-to for unwinding. Welp, off the the manga we go.

• If you finished Natsume Yuujinchou Season 4 – You can start the manga at Volume 13, Chapter 52

Natsume Yuujinchou adapted Chapter 108’s story, but skipped the chapters in between.

If you have watched the Natsume Yuujinchou: Ephemeral Bond (2018) movie, the jumping in point is still the same since the events weren’t canon.

What to Expect From The Natsume Yuujinchou Manga?

If you were to read the Natsume Yuujinchou manga from the beginning, you would notice that the anime jumps wildly around the story as it pleases. You would also notice that the chapters are longer than the average manga, and sometimes the manga chapter story will span multiple episodes of the anime. However, it doesn’t actually skip too much.

While many chapters were skipped between Season 6 and The Waking Rock movie, they were covered in Season 7. It is safe to say they ill do the same with what was skipped in Season 7 in Season 8 too.

As such, you don’t really need to read the Natsume Yuujinchou manga from the beginning unless you want to because it doesn’t actually skip that much.

Is The Natsume Yuujinchou Manga Over?

The Natsume Yuujinchou manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2005, it releases one or two volumes per year.

Will There Be A Natsume Yuujinchou Season 8?

There has been no official announcement of a Natsume Yuujinchou Season 8 anime.

At this point, they will likely continue making more. It is just that they are pretty close to catching up with the manga, which is what slowed production of the anime after Season 6.
