I don’t know what it is about shounen action anime set in alternate Japan that just doesn’t jive well with a wide audience. First, Mushibugyo gets widely overlooked, and now the same happens to Orient. Regardless, Mushibugyo was a big and bawdy shounen action anime that was simple, fun, and occasional kind of horrific. Combine that with the fan service and it was an interesting whiplash inducer.
Where To Start The Mushibugyo Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Mushibugyo anime and wish to start the manga, you can do so at Chapter 123.
Be sure you are reading the Joujuu Senjin! Mushibugyou manga, which is 316 chapters, and not the much shorter simply named “Mushibugyo” manga with only three volumes, which was a sort of test run to the much longer retelling.
What to Expect From The Mushibugyo Manga?
The Mushibugyo anime was not the greatest adaptation of the manga, as well as having a sort of anime-original ending. However, up until the end, it does cover most of the core story. However, I would recommend reading the Mushibugyo manga from the beginning if only because it provides a better story experience.
