Where To Start The Millionaire Detective Manga After The Anime?
The Millionaire Detective’s original source material is actually a novel, called Fugou Keji, from the 1970’s.
While this novel received a single-volume manga adaptation (as well as a live action), the only thing the source material for The Millionaire Detective and the anime have in common is the name Daisuke Kanbe and the concept of the show.
The novel is about a super rich detective that solves crimes using ridiculous wealth, but none of the other characters from the anime appear in the novel, and even Kanbe’s personality is quite different from how he is portrayed in the anime.
As such, you should treat The Millionaire Detective like it is an original anime story from the studio, because it pretty much is.
