I imagine doing horror slice of life is difficult, and while Mieruko-Chan’s occasionally weirdly lewd visuals made this questionable at first, the series did start to establish itself as something original and enjoyable. It does, however, seem like a series not likely to get a second season, so best head to the manga.

Mieruko-Chan is actually really well paced with its manga. The series pretty much adapts a few chapters every episode with not much being skipped. It makes for a nice easy switch to the manga. As such, you don’t need to read the Mieruko-chan manga from the beginning unless you want to.

There has been has been no official announcement of a Mieruko-chan Season 2 anime.
