While the first season of Masamune-kun’s Revenge had an interesting premise, I think it lost a lot of people when it proceeded to… Not really do anything important to that premise for the rest of the first season. As such, this will always be one of those pretty good rom-com’s that remain underrated.
Where To Start The Masamune-kun’s Revenge Manga After The Anime?
If you watched both seasons of the Masamune-kun’s Revenge anime, it is technically a full adaptation of the original Masamune-kun’s Revenge manga, even if it did rush to get there. However, it does have a sequel manga that takes place after the conclusion when everyone goes off to college.
So if you finished both seasons of the Masamune-kun’s Revenge anime, you would start the manga at the Masamune-kun’s Revenge Engagement manga series. It’s relatively new, so there isn’t much to it yet.
Before starting Engagement, be sure to read Masamune-kun’s Revenge After School. It is sometimes compiled with the base manga as the eleventh volume, but it is a series of short stories about what happens after the end and is recommended reading before the sequel series.
Will There Be A Masamune-kun’s Revenge Season 3?
Honestly, I was surprised Masamune-kun’s Revenge got a season 2. As season 2 wrapped up the core story of the manga, it seems wildly unlikely that they would adapt the “after years” portions of the sequel manga as a season 3.
