The final episode of Season 1 is an anime-original episode, though it was written by the light novel author. However, it is not adapting any light novel material.

The Makeine light novel is still ongoing. Since launching in 2021, it has consistently released two novels per year.
Where To Start The Makeine Manga After The Anime?
While Makeine has a manga series, it is rather new. As of Chapter 17.2, the last chapter as of the anime ending, it is working its way through Lemon’s arc as Nukumizu and Ayano are caught stalking Chihaya and Lemon. So around episode 6 of the anime.

What to Expect From The Makeine Source Material Compared to The Anime?
As with any light novel adaptation, there were a few smaller moments and numerous little details cut out of the light novels. However, Makeine is actually a really good adaptation of the light novels otherwise. There is nothing missing that would prevent you from just jumping into the story, but some small details that would be rewarding if you did read it from the beginning.
You don’t need to read the Makeine light novels from the beginning unless you want to.
Will There Be A Makeine Season 2?
There has been no official announcement of a Makeine Season 2 anime.
I have no doubt there will be. As the final episode was an anime-original, I put this entry up before the final episode aired, I have no doubt that I will need to update this once the final episode actually airs with a S2 announcement.
