Mahoromatic is truly an anime from another age. Another age where you can form a tight, fun, and emotional narrative in the first season, and a surprisingly super grim ending in the second season that bums all your fans out.

Where To Start The Mahoromatic Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Mahoromatic anime and want to continue the story with the manga, you can start at Chapter 1.
The Mahoromatic anime is not always strictly adapting the content of the manga, and it changes the story in ways that makes it hard to jump into the manga in any one place. The anime injects quite a bit more action compared to the manga which is more just slice of life and comedy with the action elements often less of a focus and the intrigue building up over the course of the entire manga series into where it culminates at the end.
It is also notable that the Mahoromatic manga has quite a bit more ecchi fan service scenes than the anime.
The Mahoromatic anime did use a number of plot points from the manga, so you have seen some of the story from the manga in the anime. If you do not want to read it from the beginning, I highly recommend at least reading the final chapter. The anime and manga both share that 20 year time skip, but the anime ending was much darker—and much different—than the manga ending.
