I firmly believe that if you want a shounen anime adaptation of a shounen manga to adapt the whole story, you better pray the anime catches up to the manga before that manga ends. Magi’s manga ended before the anime caught up, and now – without incentive to boost manga sales – we probably aren’t ever going to see a third season. That’s a shame, too. Magi wasn’t necessarily Big Shounen 3-level, but it was still a great adventure.
Where To Start The Magi Manga After The Anime?
If you have finished both seasons of the Magi anime and wish to pick up the story with the manga, you can do so at Chapter 198. The anime is usually pretty detailed with the story, but it does drift off into anime-original territory with the ending of the first season. It also likes to leave out a lot of the more comical side stories, so there is some merit to reading the manga from the beginning.
Where To Start The Adventures of Sinbad Manga After The Anime?
If you were a particular fan of the Adventures of Sinbad spin-off anime, that also has a manga. If you finished the Adventures of Sinbad anime and wish to start the Adventures of Sinbad spin-off manga, you can start at Chapter 55. Like the anime, the Sinbad manga is a prequel to the events of Magi, but as a spin-off it is wholly optional. It’s just… People really tend to love Sinbad as a character and his series has ended up almost more popular.
Is The Magi Manga Over?
The Magi manga is complete. It ended in 2017 with Chapter 369.
The Adventures of Sinbad prequel manga is also complete. It ended in 2018 with Chapter 182.
Will There Be More Magi and Sinbad Anime?
At this point, I would say another Magi or Sinbad anime is unlikely. Both manga series are concluded, the manga author has moved onto other stories, and there has been no word on the series for a long time.
