Choosing to continue on with the Land of the Lustrous manga after you finish up the anime is a strange beast. It is not that the anime skips things so much that it makes picking up the manga more difficult, but rather not being accustomed to the reading style of the manga is the difficult part.

I’ve found that the Land of the Lustrous manga was particularly difficult to pick up after the anime. It is just the way the story and action flow in the manga that makes it something you need to get used to from the beginning, I think.

Will There Be A Land of the Lustrous Season 2?
Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement of a Land of the Lustrous Season 2 anime.
As the anime came out in 2017, we are well past the period where, if we were going to get a season 2, it would have been announced. It seems very unlikely that there will be a Land of the Lustrous Season 2 anime.
