Where To Start The Kowloon Generic Romance Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Kowloon Generic Romance anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 11, Chapter 92.
The anime was a pretty faithful, if terribly fast-paced, adaptation until the end when it caught up to the manga and started putting a lot of anime-original story in. Chapter 91 is still technically in the anime, but the anime did freestyle those events. You may wish to start closer to Chapter 82.
What to Expect From The Kowloon Generic Romance Manga?
Kowloon Generic Romance is an anime that moves at a crazy fast pace through the manga, so much so that the anime adapted through the entire main story of all the manga it had available, then started stuffing in anime-original elements to fill the rest of the time.
What did the anime skip in the manga? Not really main plot, but more of the slice of life moments and character interactions that establish the various character relationships, particularly for the side characters.
Do you need to go read the manga from the beginning because of all this slice of life stuff it skipped? If you are interested in the characters at all, yes. If you really just care about the main plot, then technically you can continue on, but also, there’s really nothing to “continue on” with until more manga releases.

The Kowloon Generic Romance manga is complete. It ended in 2026 with Volume 12, Chapter 108.
Will There Be A Kowloon Generic Romance Season 2?
There has been no official announcement of a Kowloon Generic Romance Season 2 anime.
They adapted all of the manga available, but it is a still ongoing manga, so any Season 2 will be years and years from now.
So does it not actually have a conclusive ending? The only explanation I could think of for why they would want to adapt it that way is if they had the author give them the planned ending ahead of time and wanted to make a single complete anime. If it doesn’t have an ending, the whole situation makes no sense.
Chapter 81 at the end of E11 is the hard cutoff point from where an original ending starts, if one overlooks that this was a clipshop adaptation on top of that. Anything in EP12 is barely based on what comes after with E13, maybe being related to how the manga will end one day. Like Zetman and so on.
After the Rain adapts a bit less than half the content within EP 1-11 before going anime original (kinda, stands head and shoulders above this mess.
