Another victim of the “I’m making this anime, I clearly know what’s best for the story” story changes that make it hard to get into the manga.

Where To Start The Kodomo no Omocha Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Kodomo no Omocha anime and want to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 7, Chapter 31.
Kodomo no Omocha has a ton of anime-original filler and fully diverges from the manga in Episode 65. You actually would be best off reading the manga from the beginning just because there is so much anime-original content that you would need to disregard.
As for the OVA, that was created before the anime and adapts through Chapter 5 of the manga.
What to Expect From The Kodomo no Omocha Manga?
As I said above, Kodomo no Omocha is actually more anime-original content than it is content that is adapting the manga. Not only does it fully diverge to an anime-original ending, but features plenty of filler before that, going long periods of time without adapting a single moment from the manga.
Kodomo no Omocha is definitely a series to read from the beginning because of how much was changed and how difficult it would be to just hop into the story after the anime.
Is The Kodomo no Omocha Manga Over?
The Kodomo no Omocha manga is complete. It ended in 1998 with Volume 10, Chapter 51.
Will There Be A Kodomo no Omocha Season 2?
As the anime aired and the manga ended before even the new millennium, I’d say Kodomo no Omocha’s day is done.
