There’s plenty of ecchi in sports, but it is high time that a sport series dared to make ecchi as plot-relevant as Keijo does.
However, the silly boob-and-butt sport of Keijo you came to admire in the anime has a lot more serious meat in the manga.

Where To Start The Keijo Manga After The Anime?
It is strongly recommended to the read the Keijo manga from the beginning.
The Keijo anime actually starts at Volume 4, Chapter 35 of the manga, and ends at Volume 10, Chapter 90.
As the Keijo anime starts in what is essentially the second arc of the series, it not only cut out characters, but it cut out elements of the story—including how dangerous the Keijo sport is in the world—that will be more relevant later in the story.
Keijo, the anime, as a standalone watch, is fine for some silly ecchi, but if you want the actually pretty good story that goes along with that silly ecchi, you have to read the manga from the beginning. Not just because it skipped the first 34 chapters of the story, but because it also highly condensed the next 50 chapters that it adapted.
It would doable to just continue the story at Chapter 90 if you really wanted to, but just be aware you may miss characters and there may be details to the sport and world you will not be familiar with.
Is The Keijo Manga Over?
The Keijo manga is complete. It ended in 2017 with Volume 18, Chapter 178.
Will There Be A Keijo Season 2?
As the Keijo anime aired in 2016 and the manga ended a year later, this series was a promotional product to boost manga sales one last time.
As is the case, if it hasn’t gotten a second season by now, that promotional effort wasn’t a big enough success to merit making another season.
