Katekyo Hitman Reborn is what I would call a “B-tier shounen,” which are shounen action anime that have some good action, some usually great comedy, and some creative characters – but done in a rather low-budget way. That said, Katekyo Hitman Reborn is an action shounen that knows that its silly, and while that kept it from extreme popularity, it made for a fabulously fun watch.
