Where To Start The Karin Manga After The Anime?

If you finished the Karin anime and wish to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 5, Chapter 19.

Though, it is really recommended to read this series from the beginning.

What to Expect From The Karin Manga?

It becomes clear pretty early, when they skip adapting a major plot line in the manga, that the Karin anime was not going to be adapting the manga story well. That culminates in them introducing the anime-original vampire hunter Winner and being anime-original for almost all the second half of the anime after that.

If you do jump in starting at Volume 5, you will still see some similarities to the anime in terms of the Elder Marker/Karin’s grandmother plot line, but it has enough differences (and is important enough to the overall story) that it would be best to read the manga’s version of it if you are just jumping in instead of reading from the beginning like is really recommended.

It is strongly recommended to read Karin from the beginning. The anime diverges early and then often, is far less serious compared to the manga, and skips or just alters major plot lines from the manga.

Is The Karin Manga Over?

The Karin manga is complete. It ended in 2008 with Volume 14, Chapter 58.

Will There Be A Karin Season 2?

As the manga ended in 2008 and the anime in 2006, there probably won’t be a Karin Season 2 anime.
