It adapted through Novel 3.
What to Expect From The Jinsei Source Material Compared to The Anime?
The Jinsei anime covers the core events of the light novels it adapts, but pretty much skips all the smaller fluff. The series overall is comedic, but the light novels have a lot of smaller comedic vignettes that were trimmed down or just skipped altogether in the anime. Furthermore, the light novels offer a lot more of Akamatsu’s inner monologue about the girls around him.
The manga, sadly, is adapting the novels more like the anime does, though it condenses different things compared to the anime.
You should read the Jinsei light novels from the beginning because the anime does skip a sizable chunk, but this is a comedic series and the anime does do good covering the core events and characterization moments, so it’s not as strictly necessary to read this from the beginning as it is with more plot-dense series.
Will There Be A Jinsei Season 2?
As the anime aired in 2014, it is safe to say a Jinsei Season 2 probably isn’t in the cards.
