- If you finished the Island of Giant Insects OVA – You can start the manga at Volume 1, Chapter 4. It skips Chapter 1.
- If you finished the Island of Giant Insects Movie – You can start the manga at Volume 2, Chapter 10.
The movie is the superior product here, and the movie is not a continuation of the OVA, it is a remake.
What to Expect From The Island of Giant Insects Manga?
The movie adds in a little bit more to the “before the plane” crash, and takes out a bit of the more sexy bits of the story.
If you thought the Island of Giant Insects movie was too gory and with too much ecchi, be aware that the manga is much heavier on both of those things.
Aside from adding new things in and cutting out some of the ecchi, the movie was a pretty good adaptation of the story, and you can pretty easily jump into the manga.

With the movie coming out in 2020, the window is certainly still open, but the movie was also not especially popular as is common with ecchi horror, so we will see.
