While Ishura has a manga series, it is not as long-established as the light novel, therefor behind even what the anime covered.
As of Chapter 18, the most current chapter as of the anime finishing, the manga is covering the events of Episode 11 of the anime. The manga announced it was finishing the novels’ first arc (which is what the anime covered) with its May 7th chapter, then going on a brief hiatus.
Is The Ishura Manga Over?
The Ishura manga is still ongoing. Since launching in 2021, it released two volumes that year, but did not release a third volume until 2023. So its release schedule is currently not well-established.
What to Expect From The Ishura Source Material Compared to The Anime?
As Ishura creates a vast world stuffed full of unique characters, it is great that it resisted common anime adaptation temptation and only adapted the first light novel story. Even that was pretty intricate, but the anime covered it well.
There is no need to read the Ishura light novel from the beginning unless you want to.
Will There Be A Ishura Season 2?
Following the final episode of Season 1, it was confirmed that Ishura would be getting a second season. No further details have been released as to when the second season will air, however.
