Where To Start The Infinite Stratos Light Novel After The Anime?
If you finished the Infinite Stratos anime and want to continue the story in the light novel, you can start at:
- If you finished Infinite Stratos Season 1 – You can start the light novel at Novel 4
- If you finished Infinite Stratos OVA, A Sextet Yearning for Love – This covers Chapters 3 and 4 of Novel 4.
- If you finished Infinite Stratos OVA, The Memories of Summer – This covers Chapter 1 and 2 of Novel 4. It is an extended edition of Season 2’s first episode.
- If you finished Infinite Stratos Season 2 – You can start the light novel at Novel 8.
- If you watched the Infinite Stratos OVA, World Purge – This adapts the rest of Novel 8 that Season 2 lightly touches on near the end. It is also a poor adaptation of the novel like much of Season 2 was.
Infinite Stratos is not a great adaptation of the light novel after Season 1. I would recommend starting at Novel 4.
The final two episodes of Season 2 are anime-original (as are many elements in that season).
Is The Infinite Stratos Light Novel Over?
The Infinite Stratos light novel is on what is likely indefinite hiatus, and has been since 2018. Presently, there are 12 novels.
Where To Start The Infinite Stratos Manga After The Anime?
Infinite Stratos has two manga series. Neither of which surpassed the anime before ending.
The first manga series is by Kenji Akahoshi and only adapts through Novel 3, which is what Season 1 adapts.
The second manga series is by Homura Yuuki. It is not a continuation, and adapts about half way through Novel 4, barely reaching what the OVA adapts.
Is The Infinite Stratos Manga Over?
The Kenji Akahoshi Infinite Stratos manga is complete. It ended in 2012 with Volume 5, Chapter 25.
The Homura Yuuki Infinite Stratos manga is also complete. It ended in 2020 with Volume 8, Chapter 41.

What to Expect From The Infinite Stratos Source Material Compared to The Anime?
If nothing else, start the Infinite Stratos light novel from where the first season ends. You don’t need to read it from the beginning as Season 1 did a pretty standard job of adapting the story, but Season 2 diverges from and changes the light novel at a number of points.
Will There Be A Infinite Stratos Season 3?
As the last OVA came out in 2014, it is safe to say that the Infinite Stratos anime will not be continued.
