What to Expect From The I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons Source Material Compared to The Anime?
While the events between the I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons anime, manga, and light novel are all the same, this story is a bit different in every medium simply because they re-arrange those events differently between all three of them.
This means that if you continue the story in the manga, there may be some events—mostly Nadir/Brianna moments—that you will have seen in the anime that had yet to happen in the manga. The light novel is also the same way, prioritizing the main couple, then drifting into side couple moments.
Regardless, while it might make the timeline of events in the manga/light novel easier to understand if you read the series from the beginning, the anime adapted all the plot-important moments from the story so you can easily jump into the source material.
Will There Be A I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons Season 2?
There has been no official announcement of a I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons Season 2 anime.
They only have one light novel left to adapt, and the manga could theoretically be ending at any time. So I doubt they will continue making more as there might not even be enough to furnish another season.
I never watched this, but I’m shocked that they didn’t fully adapt something with only 3 volumes. That’s the standard number for ongoing series anyway, much less something that’s already done.
It’s a bit confusing to explain, but I’ll give it a go.
The web novel version of this story ended where the anime did. The light novel, in the third novel, seemed like it was going to continue the story past where the web novel ended, much like the manga does.
The thing is, while I can’t find any confirmation of it, the light novel wasn’t exactly very popular and I think it got cancelled. The manga, however, is quite popular. So I think this was more promotional for the manga than the light novel.
