What to Expect From The I Shall Survive Using Potions Source Material Compared to The Anime?
You’ll notice that the anime often feels a little bare bones, which is because it adapts the basic story, but leave out a lot of finer details of it. While you don’t need to read it from the beginning, you do get a more complete feeling tale in doing so.
One thing you will notice about the light novel is that it goes into much more detail with the decision-making process for Kaoru – like why she chooses to do things. As these scenes were cut from the anime, it makes her decision seems a bit more random and out of nowhere by comparison.
Furthermore, if you choose to read the manga instead, you will notice that it has an art style where the characters look like normal proportioned people instead of the mini-people that the anime makes them into.
Will There Be A I Shall Survive Using Potions Season 2?
Unfortunately, there has been no announcement for a I Shall Survive Using Potions Season 2 anime.
While there is definitely enough material to do so, you get a distinct feeling that I Shall Survive Using Potions was a promotional anime to boost light novel and, in particular, manga sales for the recently launched new manga. As there was no immediately announcement, it seems like it was perhaps not wildly successful, but if the anime does prove to be a financial success and popular, there is still hope.
It is also worth noting that that the author has three light novel series, and this is the final of them to receive an anime adaptation. None of the others have received second seasons.
