Kazuma Kamchi loves his detail-dense well world-built series, but Heavy Object, his less famous work, didn’t catch on like the others. I blame the less easily digestible premise and it didn’t help that the anime took a little bit of time to actually “get good”.

If you can’t hook them in three episodes, unfortunately your anime is doomed to flounder like this series did, but at least it floundered into an underrated gem and not a turd.
