What to Expect From The Haganai Source Material Compared to The Anime?
Like any anime that is adapting a light novel story, the Haganai anime has all the core plot points, but leaves a lot of the finer details out of the story. The light novel and manga both flesh out the story and characters a lot better.
Do note that the story of the light novel and the manga differ from each other near the end, but do in fact end the same way. So picking either still leads to the same conclusion.
