What to Expect From The Goodbye Dragon Life Source Material Compared to The Anime?
Like any light novel adaptation, the Goodbye Dragon Life anime cuts out a fair bit of worldbuilding from the anime. It skips a few of the more minor things that flesh out some of the characters a little more, but the anime didn’t skip to much.
You don’t need to read either the light novel or manga from the beginning, but there are a few tidbits that would make doing so worthwhile. For the manga, you also get the great benefit of some pretty good art as well. If only the anime fight scenes could have looked as good as they do in the manga.
