Where Does The Golden Kamuy Anime End in The Manga?

While Golden Kamuy lacks the flash and sizzle of other anime series, the proof is in the pudding that a series can be just as good when firmly rooted in realistic concepts and mature adjacent characters. If you have wrapped up the anime and developed a thirst for more, then you will have to head to the manga to get it. However, as the anime can skip a bit, you might need to do some backtracking.

Where To Start The Golden Kamuy Manga After The Anime?

If you finished the Golden Kamuy anime, and wish to continue the story in the manga, you can start at:

• If you watch Golden Kamuy OVA, The Barato Bodyguards – It skipped chapters 55 through 59.

The TV anime often skips chapters and the OVAs cover them, but there are still a very a small handful of chapters not adapted.

Season 5 isn’t technically finished, but as there is a long pause until Winter 2026 when the final few chapters will be adapted, I added it.

What to Expect From The Golden Kamuy Manga?

While the first season of Golden Kamuy was flawed in that its CGI was a bit clunky and it was paced quite quickly, the quality of the series improves over time. Even as Season 2 started skipping significant amounts, they made up for it by covering them later in OVAs.

In the final few seasons, Golden Kamuy finally became an pretty good adaptation to the point where you don’t really need to read the manga from the beginning. However, despite that, as with all anime, it still trims off and re-arranges moments from the manga, giving reading the manga more merit to reading from the beginning if you had the urge, but its definitely not necessary.

Is The Golden Kamuy Manga Over?

The Golden Kamuy manga is complete. It ended in 2022 with Chapter 314.

Will There Be A Golden Kamuy Season 6?

It has been announced that Golden Kamuy’s final arc will be animated and will air in Winter 2026.

As Season 5 was labeled “the Final Season,” this arc will likely just be an addition to Season 5 rather than a full-on Season 6.
