Where To Start The Flame of Recca Manga After The Anime?
If you finished the Flame of Recca anime and wish to continue the story in the manga, you can start at Volume 17, Chapter 158.
The Final Burning OVA did take elements from the final volume of the manga, but it had a lot of anime original elements to it and is not really an applicable replacement.
What to Expect From The Flame of Recca Manga?
The Flame of Recca manga is an “okay, not great” adaptation of the manga. It adapts the story well enough until later on in the anime, but a problem early on is that the anime likes to change a lot of character personalities.
That said, the tournament arc at the end of the anime was fairly rushed as well and changed in some ways. It may be better to start closer to Chapter 100 before the finals start, but really it would be better to read the manga from the beginning since so many characters act differently and the anime does trim off quite a bit of the manga.
If you don’t care about the more minor stuff the anime skipped and can overlook that some characters may act quite differently, you can also just continue on.
