Considered one of those legendary manga series, of course its anime adaptation was met with legendary complainers. However, while it was off to a sneaky funny start and had a lovely dry humor throughout, The Fable really proved its legend by the end of the anime as it ascended to probably the best underworld story anime has to offer.

The anime did an anime-original Christmas Party, and you deserve to see Sato dressed like a reindeer (but also plot-important stuff happens.)
What to Expect From The Fable Manga?
The Fable anime was actually quite like the manga. It skipped a few small moments and reworked a few of them, but most of what was skipped was smaller slice of life moments that didn’t contribute much to what was going on at the time.
There was nothing that was skipped that would prevent you from continuing on with The Fable manga story, so you don’t need to read it from the beginning unless you want to.
Is The Fable Manga Over?
The Fable manga is complete. It ended in 2019 with Volume 22, Chapter 240
The Fable also has a sequel manga that is also complete. It ended in 2023 with Volume 9, Chapter 86.
Will There Be A The Fable Season 2?
It was announced randomly in April 2026 that there would be a The Fable Season 2 anime. However, no further word as to when it will actually air has been released.
