If you like sports anime and American football, your choices are pretty much limited to Eyeshield 21 or making due with some other series about rugby. What to Expect From The Eyeshield 21 Manga?
While the anime does leave out a fair bit of details, including potentially valuable character building moments, it doesn’t skip any major content. It does, however, have filler like the Death Game arc and Cream Puff Bowl. There is no pressing reason to read the Eyeshield 21 manga from the beginning aside from just really enjoying the series and wanting to see the smaller bits they left out.

There has been no official announcement of an Eyeshield 21 Season 2 anime.
As the anime ended in 2008 and the manga ended in 2009, both series are long-concluded. As such, there isn’t much hope for another season. At this point, a reboot would be more likely.
