What to Expect From The Eromanga-Sensei Source Material Compared to The Anime?
The Eromanga-Sensei anime was a pretty decent adaptation of the light novel story. As it adapted three novels, it does skip on quite a few character moments, but adapts the full plot points. As such, you don’t need to read the light novel from the beginning unless you want to.
However, the Eromanga-Sensei manga series is a little different from the anime and light novels at certain points in the story. The differences don’t have too much effect on the overall plot, but you may want to consider reading the manga from the beginning just to grasp the “slightly different” manga story.
Will There Be A Eromanga-Sensei Season 2?
Were it still 2017 when the anime came out, I’d say there is a chance since the author’s other, highly suspect series, Oreimo, got three seasons of anime. However, it is 2024, and at this point, it seems unlikely that they will make an Eromanga-Sensei Season 2 anime since the light novels and manga are both complete and the series has such dubious content.
